Chris Built Heidi a Green House

March 24th - I talked to my sister Heidi on the phone this morning and we caught up with each other. Heidi told me that last week her husband Chris built her a GREENHOUSE! She is thrilled and told him that other than the very romantic picnic he set up for her when they got married in Kauai, Hawaii, that this was the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for her - he built her a GREENHOUSE!
Heidi has wanted a greenhouse for years and now she has one right in her own backyard and she has a husband capable of building her one - very cool. She's so happy - she woke up at 5 am, her first day off work and started planting seedlings - she's got 150 different varieties of seeds growing in there, all labeled and with a listing of plant characteristics nearby.
She doesn't have to worry about critters getting to her seedlings, or cold weather freezing them. She is absolutely thrilled!
I'm very happy for her.

(Heidi had taken Mama to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library on Saturday, March 21st and I thanked her for doing that. I have been there and thoroughly enjoy the interesting exhibits and the beauty of the grounds. According to Mama, they had a good time and Mama was particularly impressed with the way the exhibits were laid out and with the Air Force One exhibit.
"Its nice to be asked" - Heidi's daughter, Candice was offered the opportunity to serve on AF-1. She declined, not because she wasn't honored, but because it would have meant a great deal of time away from her family. Little did she know that she would have to spend a great deal of time away from her family, while serving our country, anyway. But as Mama put it, "its nice to be asked.")
