Compression gauze bandage replaced
On Thursday, Dec 17th, 48 hours after my mole removal surgery, I replaced the compression gauze bandage on my cheek, as instructed and got my first real look at the line of stitches running in a line from the top of my cheek, down toward my ear.Only (7) of them and only a 1/2 inch long suture line. As soon as I took the compression bandage off, the fluid from the swelling flowed under my eye and I could see the bruising from the injection sites for the lidocaine - quite lovely.
I do look like a prize fighter!
Its healing.
I cleaned the suture line and reapplied antibiotic ointment and was able to cover it with a medium sized band-aid. It doesn't hurt and because of its location it doesn't pull very much.
