A Day of 'Soft' Rain

January 23rd - Friday - it finally arrived, this rainstorm we've been preparing for, for the last two days and it has turned out to be what the Irish refer to a 'soft' rain - more of a constant 'misting', really. That's fine. It gives us a chance to let the water soak into our dry soils, it washes everything down and fills our reservoirs just the same.
Its the kind of rain that you can walk out in, without an umbrella, as I did coming out of Henry's grocery store today. It feels good on my skin. Its not too cold, either.
