Mar 5th - Port Study Finds Blockage
I spent the afternoon at Mission Hospital's Imaging/Radiology Center. They injected dye into the portacatheter and determined that I have a blockage at the tip of the catheter. I could see the images on the monitor - the catheter, the dye flowing into the vein, my heart, my clavicle (collar) bones, as my portacatheter is inside the left subclavian vein and then flows into the superior vena cava directly into my heart. They contacted my doctor and I'll have to come back in to have the blockage cleared.
